Turning your side hustle into a career doesn’t have to be a struggle and Skribbl is proof of that, so we wanted to share the journey of how one of our creatives has turned their creative passion into their job with the help of Skribbl!

The Illustrator

Eleanor Wright, a marketing graduate of the COVID-19 pandemic, has always had a creative interest in the arts but began illustrating as more than a hobby of late and so began her journey on Skribbl in an attempt get her artwork out there.

By gifting a little in the form of some inspired illustrations to help build a varied Skribbl profile (19 different packs to be precise!) including a showcase of different illustration styles and contexts, her artwork has been viewed by over 70,000 people from 191 countries – which is pretty awesome to say the least.

This visual online portfolio showcased the different types of illustrations that could be created and used which led to being spotted by a future client.

The Opportunity

Fast forward four months and this growing visual online portfolio had now facilitated bespoke commission work after being spotted on Skribbl which have lead to creating brand illustrations and even bespoke hand illustrated Airforce 1’s as a first Skribbl commission!

HappyCo. an Edinburgh based gifting company (one of the fastest growing companies in the corporate gifting industry) came across our website and illustrations through one of their design partners who got in touch after loving the artwork and seeing the potential of Eleanor’s style – & the rest is history.
